There's no doubting that Metaphrog wants Strange Weather to be up there with Strangehaven/Bone/etc.
And there's no doubting that he wants that.... NOW!!!
He's invested heavily in the format... (U.S. Comic size/Full tone A/W/Glossy covers + flyers) He's put together a selection of elements that's slice-of-life mixed with surreal-sprinkles, that's worked well for others...
But... all, this investment of time + money + energy... seems so premature! Because his ambition has outstripped his, at present, limited abilities to make this project to work successfully.
He needs to develop his writing... at the moment it's a monotonous drone! He needs to develop his drawing skills... as his characters are wooden, goggle eyed and lifeless.
He needs to have a real close look at the emotional effects of sequencing. Because he's undermining all his hard work, with a total lack of awareness of the sequential form's mechanics + it's possibilities.
THEN, come back and smash me around the face with the REAL Metaphrog's Magnum-Opus!!!!!!!!!!
And with his drive and ambition, I have no doubt, he'll do it!!!!!!!!!
